    Orei DA34 DAC works very well for feeding audio (stereo up to 5.1 channels) from my TV optical audio out into (by RCA ) my 2-channel stereo system. Only glitch is occasional noise for a second to two when switching from Digital Recorder input to HD TV input on some occasions. There is no volume control when using HD TV udio out so have to use the amplifier volume for that At least I don't have have to change the amplifier inputs anymore as I only use one. The headphone option is another good feature though I'll need a longer lead. Maybe there is a bluetooth dongle that would fit onto the DAC output and do the trick for bluetooth headphones?

    Hearing Impaired Helper

    I am hearing impaired and was looking for something I could hook up to my new Samsung 65 inch TV so that I could hear everything without having the TV volume too loud for my wife This Orei DA34 fits the bill perfectly. I was able to plug this unit into my TV then plug my Sennheiser RS120 wireless headphones into the DA34 and know I get a clear stereo signal with volume control on my headphones and my wife has separate volume control on the TV. So this is a happy solution for hearing impaired individuals. My DA34 did come with a optical cable.

    decoder not converter

    tried 2 different converters and they did not work, just got a up and down noise. I then bought this decoder and it worked perfect and still does. If ur tv has dolby sound, converters will not work, u must use a dolby decoder like this.
