    In a class of its own

    The standard of acting and script in Open All Hours is arguably at a level above anything in the comedy category since. The combination of Ronnie Barker and David Jason works superbly they bounce off each other constantly. Seeing the pilot in the previous disc was fascinating. The BBC changed the actress playing Nurse Gladys and the result moved the whole show up several notches more. However many times I see these episodes there is something new to enjoy.

    Barker and Jason at their comedic best.

    Ronnie barker and David Jason are brilliant and if course so is nurse Gladys, I firmly believe that there is no better comedy than old style British comedy especially when it's done to the standard of this series.
