      Classic!

      Wonderful movie classic. TCM doesn't always show my favorites, and even if they do, they will expire off of the DVR in time. I like to OWN my movies. I have an extensive collection of the most popular AND/OR the most obscure classic movies I can find. If the day comes that I can't afford to pay for cable - I'll have my collection to keep me entertained. This is an amazing story full of great old-fashioned values!

      Spencer's Mountain

      It is an engaging narrative about family confronted by the rigors of rugged Americana, beset by modest highs and lows, glee, hope, tragedy and realizing the fulfillment of a dream as an offspring prepares for life outside of the usually expected station of the time. The film is well worth the price of this particular admission, to be viewed as wholesome and reflective, contrary to what some critics may deem corny or dated. Donald Crisp's last movie role, and one may wonder if the script and his character may have been influential in ending his journeymay thespian credentials.

      Not perfect but satisfied

      Really the movie didn't play past chapter 19 close to the end. Couldn't even skip to the next chapter, idk why disc looked good. But I will say they went good for it. So I'm satisfied.

      Always Wanted to Own

      It is rare that Spencer’s Mountain is shown on tv. I was just a young teenage in the late 60’s when I first saw / watched the movie. It is one of those good heart-warming movies that stays with you forever. I always Think about the movie and always wanted to own it. So one day I finally looked it up. Found it!!!! And the best price was here. Thank you so very much for making a life long longing (LOL) happen. Now I can watch it anytime I want .
