Item shown was accurate. Description was good price was excellent. Seller was excellent to work with and I will do business with them again. They really take pride in the way they ship their items and I could tell by the way the book was packed waterproof and appropriately wrapped. Thank you for that so many others don’t.

  • Dine well at Lulu's Table

Olney was a rather quirky fellow -- an ex-pat who felt that Provence was where he was intended to thrive. He is most noted for serving as the general editor of the Time Life series "The Good Cook" of 35 volumes published in the 70s-80s which introduced traditional continental cooking techniques to an eager American public. In addition, he wrote several cookbooks of French cuisine -- particularly Provencal. This is based on the menus and recipes of a noted restaurant there at the Domaine Tempier vineyard -- where he dined often and befriended the owners Lulu and Lucien. Olney's works can always be counted on for attention to technique and taste which results in delicious and predictable results -- this does not disappoint.
