    Good product, poor packaging.

    To start with...what a deal! Yes, purchased these at quite a bargain compared to other blank DVD discs out there. HP is a reliable name and the quality of the product does not disappoint. Packaging, well, that is another story. Imagine a nicely wrapped stack of 50 DVDs placed on your desk... Now, imagine a stack of 50 shiny, slippery DVDs attempting to balance on your desk once the shrink wrap holding them together has been opened. Not even a spindle or cheap plastic case to hold them? That would have been nice. Great deal on these discs if you already have a place to store them properly. Having the paper sleeves included was another bonus. Thanks. I'd buy them again, but I'd make sure to have a place to store them before doing so.

    Not bad but you MUST furnish your own spool!

    Average quality DVD's, I like to keep a supply on hand for use when installing LInux on PC's as well as burning a movie once in awhile so we can watch it in our RV when we travel, gotta have some flix at night you know. These are OK, I was a bit disappointed to find they were not on spools, perhaps I should have read the add closer, but they were the cheapest I could find, and that was my prime concern. I do have plenty of spools laying around in my back room so it was not a major problem, and had I been aware that they would just fly everywhere when I unwrapped them, perhaps I would have given the 5 star rating.

    Cheap, but it gets the job done.

    This is a updated review. The speed is 16x, but if you're having trouble with burning, lower the burned speed 4x and it should work without any problems. For some reason with the DVD drive i have, i can only burn at speed 4x, i honestly believe its the quality of the disc though, HP is just a cheap brand. But it gets the job done. I recommend that you buy these only if you're on a budget, if not, go for a better brand.

    Good product but...

    The first batch of these I bought had a high burn failure rate...about 20%. I figured it was probably a bad batch so bought another and so far a 2% burn fail rate. I highly recommend this product but to minimize burn failures burn at a slow speed and do not use your computer during burns to decrease burn failure.

    Good value, good quality

    Recorded wedding DVDs on it, good quality, appropriate speed for the price. The only negative thing - it came wrapped, no plastic holding case, so I had to use my empty CD/DVD holding containers from previous purchases to store it.
