    A nice introduction to this underrated heavy rock outfit

    The eponymous first album by Budgie was the dedut recording by the Welsh 3 piece, which has been digitally remastered by the band on Noteworthy Productions in 2004. The album combines some earthy rock broken up nicely with a couple of beautiful ballads, namely "Everything In My Heart" & "You & I". The excellent rhythm section of Burke Shelley" (bass) & Ray Phillips (drums) keep things chugging along nicely, ably supporting Shelley's vocals & the excellent Tony Bourge on guitar. Some interesting song titles also introduced, as a feature for future album tracks, such as "Nude Disintegrating Parachutist Woman" coupled with "Homicidal Suicidal". This was a nice introduction to a band that went on to make some superb rock albums such as "Squawk", "Never Turn Your Back On A Friend", "Bandolier" ...

    Budgie - Self titled album is a craker!

    Great debut album from a highly underrated rock band. Budgie influenced many other bands like Soundgarden and Metallica and were breaking boundries in sound and setting the bar high for others to follow. Early Budgie is the best!
