great music, naff case!
was a pressie for my husband. we had both like KT's previous album. the cd/music is great, the dvd/rom is also good. however, the cover is awful! it is made of flimsey card, which looks cheap & doesn't hold its shape well. so a v dissapointing presentation for a great artist & cd.

Listen to Tunstall's hits and it's easy to understand why she gets bracketed with the girl-next-door dumbness of Katie Melua. The irritatingly bouncy "Suddenly I See" from her '04 solo debut Eye To The Telescope was formulaic girl-pop chart froth that fitted the soundtrack of the vacuous The Devil Wears Prada like a glove. Opener "Little Favours" plays a similar role here, although it's also oddly reminiscent of Sheryl Crow's "Soak Up The Sun". Yet there's another side to the jaunty guitars and multi-tracked choruses that sometimes make Tunstall sound like she's singing an orange juice advert. The haunting world-folk of "White Bird" harks back to her days with Oi-Va-Voi ; the scratchy, blues stomp "Hold On" is a robust cousin of "Black Horse and The Cherry Tree", the best track on her ... KT scores again!!
KT Tunstall is a singer-songwriter you'd place somewhere between folk and blues. I'd like to say that this album is one of her best..... but better than which? They're all excellent!! Tunstall may not be mainstream, but then she doesn't aim to be as she has a uniqueness of her own.

An inspired and interesting album which has you hooked from the start. I am particularly impressed by the style, composition and variation of the songs which sit well together in this album. All the tracks are spot on and all great musicians, lovely subtle use of instruments. Been a fan for ages, well from the start really, just didn't have this album, (well a hard copy anyway) I found myself learning a couple of tracks on guitar because I realised they are ace so thought it only correct to buy it.
