Easy to connect and consistent
These were simple to hook up to an ARM processor when using a level shifter. The only down side is they are longer than i expected. The reading range is consistemt and easy to predict.

Three of the 5 inductive sensors worked
Three of the 5 inductive sensors worked, other two had limited (1mm) range with output after trigger a continuous/slightly varying pulse train instead of steady state. Tried all in a fixture on bench at 5 to 25VDC. Three functional sensors were most accurate at 24V at 3+ mm against end of 1" steel rod. Two bad ones sensed at less than 2 mm and the pulsed output was present against rod or magnet pole in direct contact with their face.
