I have now watched the whole series and I think it is the best series I have ever watched. Such great acting by all the cast, and it seems that there has been nothing spared in the production of this epic story.

Really great series but spoiled
We really enjoyed watching all 3 seasons of this show, the acting is excellent and there is a real feeling of tension as the story unfolds. It is colourful and lavish and painted on a wide canvas. It is reasonably accurate but does have a few notable departures from accepted historical fact, these do not however spoil the story. What does spoil the story is the fact that the final series was dropped so the story finishes part way through, unresolved. So much so that we thought a disc was missing until we researched in on the internet. Hence the missing star.
