      The thing,double blu:ray boxset

      The humdrum prequel to carpenters classic original,, it's an OK movie, but the story is well not just tight,, the characters are using hi:tech equipment in the film,, but this tech wasn't available in 1982,even the clothing the characters were are not to fashion in 1982,the effects are terrible, the story not right,, best stick to the classic original,, 4;10

      Great films

      Love the Kurt Russell original and the prequal is not half bad itself. A nice tie in especially with the mid-credits scene which takes you to the first film. Great addition to my blu ray collection.

      A must watch film.

      What can I say John Carpenter's The Thing is one of the best films of the 1980's and probly the best film Carpenter made. Great special effects, and a lot of suspense. Highly recomended.

      Arguably the best horror film ever

      The first film was ignored by the critics'when originally released but has deservedly earned a reputation for being an absolutely outstanding horror/Sci-Fi film The follow up is actually a prequel to the original & although not as good still rates as highly watchable. If you are a fan of Alien then you're sure to enjoy these offerings.
