Wire On Returning CD Review
An experimental purchase on my part. An interesting listen. Wire have clearly been very influential. On first listen, I could hear Gang Of Four, Elastica & Howard Devoto in there. The first half of the CD is the stronger musically for me - with the latter half sounding more experimental. It's definitely not commercial in any way. That said, it's an interesting listen for a fiver. You've got to respect the band's creativity and the labels,who, back in the day had the guts to release this style of more 'awkward' music.An experimental purchase on my part. An interesting listen. Great cd for the early output of the band wire. before they became experimental. all the early classics are on this cd well worth purchasing if you only have the pink flag or chairs missing LPs

Wire On Returning
Concept Punk. Its clever fast and sounds as good as anything current. I loved wire in 1977 and it aint aged........I am 50 (still a punk).......Bought the 3 albums...all in loft now. Best 'Best of Wire'....I also got on web site.........they are all alive. Saw em at Barberellas in Brum several times in 1977/78 backstage the blow up doll?:)
