American teenagers after the war, how they live, how they are treated and how they rebel.It a psychological and political statement, saying basically if you ignore, mollycoddle or mistreat young adolescents they rebel and grow up damaged. This is what it said to me and I found it very interesting. I only gave it four stars because it is very tame by today's standards and now we have found a million more ways to mess up our children.
