  • The story told looking under the gloss of many other publications

The book is written with the usual well researched, he didn't go into the usual areas that have been covered by many other books He looked at the interaction between the allies and why there was a little friction, however in the end the operation went ahead. He often looks at the "boots on the ground" to show what it was like for the troops.
