The only gripe would be that when I tried to fit one of my own cables into the 3.5mm jack it would not fully insert but when I tried the supplied cable it fully inserted into the socket. Thus the socket might be a little out of spec. Other than that it works well; I am using it to convert the output of a Raspberrypi computer to VGA as my monitor does not have an HDMI input..
