This was my first purchase of an actual valve only preamp and I am no audiophile however the unit was packed very well,there was no power cord which do something over a $1000 dollars should have been included I mainly use headphones so I used my Schiit Valhalla Tube amp to see how it sounded Valves need at least 100 hours to burn in before you can tell a difference after 16 hours continuously on it became a bit better but I did not have the time to listen further..the case is plain no frills.
