Fits behind the seat of a Crew Cab Superduty Ford perfectly. Honestly, for the money it does not get any better or simpler than this! I have built stereo systems for vehicles for almost 30 years and am quite particular on how they sound. I needed something to fill in from 100hz down in a truck I do not use that often anymore. Instead of spending a day to build a custom box, install an amp that I already have, I went the cheap and easy route. I like the way 12" subs sound and the lows they carry over a 10". This little unit delivers. Although I have the ability to control all the functions as far as volume and frequency, the kit I bought included a nice controller. It does sound a little boomy at first, but playing music as normal levels for 2-3 weeks and all types of music has burned in the speaker nicely and the sound has leveled out (become less boomy). For fill in, it is perfect. I was going to build a box for my boat, but this one fits perfectly where I want to put it so, I'll likely just buy another and be done with it! Couldn't be happier for $120. Now, I hope it lasts.Read full review

I wired this up to the rear speaker wires (high level input) due to easy access and loved the idea of not needing to mess with connecting the remote wire to the fuse box. This auto-on function did seem to work. However, I tested the sub with a bass heavy song and the bass just seemed to cut in and not. It was like all or almost nothing. I thought it be I had some loose connections from the speaker so I played with that for a while. But when I had this song on a loop, it would cut in and out at the same parts of the song. My best guess is that it would only kick in during very low frequency sounds. When it did kick in the bass was good. But when it cut back, there was a little bass coming out but it was less than the stock speakers. The power light would remain on even when the bass cut back, so I don't think it was a problem with the auto on feature. Yes, I did play with the LPF which didn't help and with the gain. I'm guessing this just doesn't work well with high level/speaker input. Might work great with low level/RCA input, but that wasn't an option with my stock head unit. I did try with some other songs that had some bass, but again it's only when the bass is very very low in a song that this sub would really kick in. I know it would drop off some with higher frequencies, but this doesn't taper off, it just stops. I have a powered home theater sub that uses high level input and it works great. I think the built in amp of this unit just doesn't like high level input. Of course it could be just my car and others might have better luck. But I ended up sending it back.Read full review

Ill start by saying I have had some serious sound systems in the past but got out of it when I found horsepower so i know my stuff but im not too picky about sound anymore. I got this as a little boost for my 06 Silverado crew cab Duramax after i installed a new pioneer Bluetooth capable head unit. I was hoping it would fit perfectly behind the seat, it did not, but after some “modification” to the back of the seat with a mallet its close enough to where its not too bothersome or noticeable. To the sub, I mounted everything up and did a BREAK-IN PERIOD at about 1/4 amp gain low/medium volume for 4 weeks with a few periods of heavier break in with good deeper bass songs at a little higher volume because hey, ya gotta jam sometimes. It is very important to know if these speakers arent broken in properly they wont last long at all, they need to loosen up before full use and the sound is much better after the speaker coil has loosened and stretched. Even after the initial 4 weeks ive still noticed improvements in the sound as its loosened more. My Pioneer head unit is VERY customizable and I can set crossovers and additional gains to the sub and inside speakers, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND AFTERMARKET HEAD UNIT to get a full clear sound. People are complaining about not being impressed and they have factory head units, duh. The sub has a very small magnet for the box and cant really take what the amp throws at it on max but the box has plenty of room for a beefier upgrade down the road if desired, works great as is. The wiring kit comes with a 50A fuse but after break in I bumped it up to a 100A to flow more power and there was a nice noticeable difference in the “hit” of the speaker. I am super happy with this other than that it didnt fit perfectly but the silverados are particular about behind the seat boxes but it works for me and sound way better than i wouldve ever imagined. The price and quality are great with this little kit. Super happy I would definitely recommend!!Read full review

It fits really nicely in the trunk of my car everything was super nice really easy to install. It has high level inputs so you can just wire it straight into your rear deck speakers if you have them makes it super simple. Its not the most powerful sub i ever heard but didn't expect that for the price it was worth it for the price would reccomend to add some bass to your system
