Man Thing
As a comic book lover for many years now, this film had actually gone under my radar. I had no idea it had been made, and it appears that in most countries it has gone direct to video. As one of Marvel's lesser characters, this is not surprising, as is the fact that it was made at all! You can see that there wasn't a big budget for this movie, and there is a lack of known "stars" here. However the story is pretty good, with an "eco theme" to it, and rather than delve into Man-Thing's back story he's treated as just existing, throw in some suspense, and a dash of voodoo, and it becomes an enjoyable swampy horror story. The CGI for the Man-Thing character isn't brilliant, and is down to the low budget of the film, however, it is competent, and not as bad as it could have been. If you're a ... NOW THIS MOVIE WAS SCARY...VERY SCARY!!! TERRIFYING!!! BUT I MUST SEE IT AGAIN AND MAYBE AGAIN BECAUSE I HAVEN'T QUITE UNDERSTOOD IT YET!!! I DON'T REMEMBER MAN-THING IN THE MARVEL CARTOONS??? BUT ALL THE OTHERS YES...SPIDERMAN, X-MEN, HULK AND SO ON!!! ;-)
