and a Barlow lens would make it a great item to upgrade to. but for the money it is great.

This is an impressive piece of kit. However, the instructions are somewhat lacking. It is described as a good telescope for beginners. However, it’s a bit like a car mechanic showing a beginner driver where the wheels and pedals are and giving you the keys and telling you to drive to Scotland. I have had to search so many YouTube videos and websites before I could work out what all the attachments are, how they work and how to use them. And 3 weeks on it’s still not fully functional, although some of that is due to the weather. I’m looking forward to using it but at the moment all I can see is a hazy mess. I understand from the many comments online that the eyepieces aren’t particularly good. Perhaps when I’ve set it up properly I will find out. Oh, and it’s very heavy!

Its ok for a beginner to intermediate astronomer a bit fiddly to erect but once done is ok i had to purchase more lenses with this product as the ones supplied are not very good for star gazing so i got the celestron accessory kit in which you get a Barlow lens and a 6mm and 15mm lenses also some filters blue red and a moon filter, i would recommend purchasing the kit when you buy the telescope, but the telescope its self is fine once you get used to operating the eqitoreal mount have fun :)

It is a bit tricky to set up but once you get it set up and use it a few times it’s pretty easy to use,I’d recommend going on YouTube and look up a few videos how to set it up there was also a video called (how to align your telescope by celestron) iv used it and seen Mars on the first night which was beautiful, there is also a bit you could buy which include better lenses it’s in what other Customers bought section, the item arrived very quickly and very well packed. Have fun star gazing

Reasonably easy to set up and use. I also bought a motor which was less successful. Awkward to pick up and move around which lost a star (no pun intended!)

Quite easy to set up as every piece just screws together. Plenty of demo's on YouTube that show you how to set up and use, only other bits I have bought is a moon filter and a 2x barlow lens,so far I have observed a partial moon and both Jupiter (and 4 moons) and Saturn's rings, all in all a very good telescope and great for all the family to enjoy will recommend

Really well built scope. Great views. The lens are not that good so you will need to purchase better quality ones and if you want to pimp the scope change the red dot finder, but you can't fault the scope and the stand for the price. Excellent.

Quality built 130mm telescope for a good price, with options to upgrade eye piece optics. Solid tripod and tray for optics or coffee. Easy to setup and go, once you learnt how to use the equatorial mount. Only issue so far has been the included software and Windows 10 graphics issues.(common issue on older laptop hardware). I shall be sourcing alternatives for imaging astrophotography. Very pleased with purchase.very recommended manufacturer 10/10

For a first time astronomer, it's an ok start, but shop around to get the cheapest one as you will out grow it very quickly. Positive points, the lenses for these telescopes fit more up market scopes so they are good value (I still have mine). The most negative aspect of this telescope is the truly pathetic finder scope fitted, there are better ones out there, so replace this.
