I have just finished watching this! Picture clear, and subtitles extremely helpful.as I am H.O.H! Sam Tyler was obviously shocked at being in 1973, (no mobile phones, computers, and some very hard coppers), but having been born in 1961, I can remember the Seventies very well indeed! That is exactly what it was like, but as Sam found out, we have got another generation who weren't alive, or just born in the Seventies! As I already had Ashes to Ashes, it made sense to watch "Life on Mars" first, before "Ashes to Ashes". That way, both sets make more sense. "Life on Mars" is one of the best series I know, and "Ashes to Ashes" is essential viewing after one has watched "Life on Mars! I have just finished watching this! Life On Mars
First broadcast on BBC in 2006, this groundbreaking police procedural/sci-fi series really wowed viewers and critics alike. I really wanted to own the full DVD box set because, although it's being repeated on a cable TV channel, those episodes tend to be cut and I also like listening to the commentaries.
