I have used electric shavers for years. They were all lacking something. This one really fits the bill. The stand is awesome. My friend freaked out when he saw the magnetic grip grab the shaver and pull it in to the stand with a click. The shaver is very light and works very well with the three heads. Shaving is accomplished in no time at all. Cleaning is easy, but the heads tend to close while cleaning. Maybe I need to devise a better cleaning system. All in all this is one quality shaver. And it should be for the retail price of $160+.
I have found this to be the best of all the Norelco shavers I have owned. Over the years I have owned 9 different models as well as foil style shavers and always found them leaving stubble even after repeated passes, and ended up using shaving cream and a blade razor for closeness. The Norelco 1060X gives a close shave without repeated passes. I do not have a coarse beard, and I shave daily so I cannot attest to its performance under more challenging conditions, but in my case it outperforms all its predecessors. I also find that it runs for weeks on a charge, far longer than its predecessors, which I attribute to the lithium ion battery. All in all a great design. I find cleaning it easiest with a brush and occasionally with compressed air rather than rinsing it under water. Norelco had no comment on the compressed air, but when cleaned the cutters spin like pinwheels.Read full review
This is my 6th Arcitec 1090x which was made about 5 years ago! An absolutely fantastic shaver! I can't list all the good things about them! I get a great close, smooth shave! I like the size, grip and Art Deco look! Much better shaver than the new models!

This razor is a good razor but at the same time there is nothing that is super stellar about this razor. It looks fancy and it does its job but i wouldn't say that it could compare to a regular non electronic one. It feels good on the face and is easy to clean with an incredible battery power life. It does a fantastic job on the face, but it misses some neck hairs which is a little disappointing. I paid 80 for it and feel like I got my moneys worth but not a bargain so definitely would not buy for 160 like some places have it listed
The Norelco Arcitec 1060X is pure hype. I have owned an old Norelco for years and have purchased several replacement heads for it, but the chargeable batteries (inside) just died after 15yrs. So I purchased this and it was not cheap, I figured I would get another 7/10 yrs maybe right? Well, I disliked the razor so much I used it like 20 times (awful shave) and gave it to my son (he disliked it also). It made the recycling bin.
