Tired of swabbing the deck all day, cabin moggie Tom is in for a surprise when a bottle containing a treasure map washes aboard. But he is none too pleased when he discovers that the map comes with a precondition: a little brown mouse named Jerry. Before long, the greedy cat realises that any hope of his finding the treasure before the pirates rests on an alliance with his long-time adversary. Together, they dodge coconut-wielding monkeys, a slimy octopus and various other obstacles. A tamer, more child-friendly film than the similarly-themed PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN.
