The book was extremely good value for money however when it arrived it was filthy and could have easily been wiped over before dispatching. I had to clean it with a damp cloth as it was covered in dirt.

  • Extremely accurate as were the contents of the book

The book is portrayed in layman's terms and which I understood. The author described Depressive Illness in such a way that I felt I wasn't a fraud and depression is a real illness. I drew comfort from the fact that the symptoms described were just what I was experiencing and that started me on my road to recovery.

  • Easy read and very relatable!

An easy read, which is just what you need if you are suffering. It helped me years ago, and I have bought several copies since as presents for friends. You read this and learn that what you thought were your own personality traits, are actually symptoms. I’d recommend to anyone suffering from stress, anxiety or depression.

  • Concise, informative, offers positivity

This book spoke to me. It was describing my feelings and mindset at a particular low point. It didn't waffle. It set out clearly what causes depression, how to find ways to deal with it better, how to be easier on yourself. Can refer to again and again 👍

  • This is an easy informative read. A must for those who live with depression

I was advised to read this when i had a break down many years ago. Now i am a Counsellor I pass this book on to many of my clients. It is also good for their families. It explains in an easy way what depression is, how normal it is and what you can do about it. There is minimal difficult terminology and is an absolute MUST for any one that has depression. It is not a weakness it is the curse of the strong.
