Unfortunately I was disappointed with the condition of this book. It smelt of cigarette smoke, was discoloured (yellow round all the borders on each page)and some pages had dirty marks. The pages seemed to be loose in places. It had obviously been read a number of times. It was not cost effective to return it so I shall put it in the recycling bin. The other book I ordered at the same time is great so I am sure this is not up to your usual standard and I have been unlucky on this occasion.

Somewhat formulaic (5th or 6th I've read) but a right good read. Six foot plus drifter (built like the proverbial brick **** house [and played by Tom Cruise!] helps/saves damsel in distress.

He is portrayed as a specially trained individual with specific skills to investigate killings within any of the US Military forces and has special powers delegated by senior staff from the Whitehorse down. I have read all his books, including the short stories, never a disappointment. I read his books in two or three days. Great stories. Jack Reacher generally acts alone but will come across some who will offer help. Fast action throughout the books, plenty of well described fight sequences. Well what can I say ,another great book from lee child. I couldn’t put this one down it only took me 3 days to read . Jack Reacher sure knows his stuff , and he needed it all in this thrilling story . I was almost under the impression that JR had used up all his lives in the last chapter but hey ho he hung in and lives to roam the USA again All in all a great story.😉 I
