    An intoxicating deep dive into the sordid underbelly of 1950's Brooklyn

    A great novel from a unique and talanted writer. This deep-dive into the lives of a handful of Brooklynites explores the sordid and unfortunatel details of their lives and the choices they make on the harsh streets. Intoxicating, funny and at times profoundly sad, Selby's ability to write mezmerising characters is second to none. Would recommend.
