Replacement for original Dyson
Purchased this because of the price compared to other sites was the cheapest, overall it fitted okay but bit of a struggle at first then gave the lug a sharp tap with screwdriver whent in no problem. Would recommend this item.

Little tricky
Product works well as a decent replacement however it took a while to get it to fit. The end which attaches to the cleaner is very tight and tricky as there's not as much flexibility in the plastic compared to the original and took quite a bit of persuading before it would clip in. The other end is equally as tight and the hose doesn't slide in and out easily. I'm hoping this will ease off with continued use.Product works well as a decent replacement however it took a while to get it to fit. The end which attaches to the cleaner is very tight and tricky as there's not as much flexibility in the plastic compared to the original and took quite a bit of persuading before it would clip in. The other end is equally as tight and the hose doesn't slide in and out easily. I'm hoping this will ease off with continued use.

Absolutely fine but be prepared to re-glue tube in bottom bracket.
Considering how much almost anything for a DC01 Dyson is in short supply I still think we are lucky that a few suppliers are going to the trouble of sourcing the parts at all, albeit from 3rd party suppliers. To get to the point, the main problem with this item is the glue which fixes the hose in the yellow bottom bracket. There is not enough of it and it has minimum adherence properties. I was aware of this problem from the past and when as expect the tube and bottom bracket parted company in the first minutes of use I re-glued the tube using two part epoxy resin glue which after some time left to set gave a good secure fixing.Considering how much almost anything for a DC01 Dyson is in short supply I still think we are lucky that a few suppliers are going to the trouble of sourcing the parts at all, albeit from 3rd party suppliers. Product broke on first use
Only time will tell if this is any good, but the hose detached from the base of the product on the second use, rendering it useless. On closer inspection it was clear that weak glue had been used. A replacement was sent quickly and fuss-free however, which so far seems to work ok. Like others have said, the hose is tighter on the wand than the Dyson original.

The plastic at the bottom of the hose, where it fits to the vacuum cleaner is very poor quality and not sufficiently flexible or strong. The D shape that is supposed to locate snugly into place on the vacuum cleaner was a poor fit and weakened when I had to prise with a screwdriver as per your diagram. The bottom hook (on the same fitting) broke on first use when I wound the flex around it.
