    Dated Fantasy

    Having enjoyed the film "Contact" several times, I thought I would try the book by Carl Sagan that inspired it. The film stands up well to modern thinking about e.t. but the book does not. It is horribly dated and spends too much time developing the main character in massive detail. I would watch the film again but I wish I hadn't bothered with the book as it seems a bad version of the film, ironically.
