  • Are we being needlessly over-prescribed medication?

Confirming my concerns that medication can at times be prescribed more to meet "targets", as against actually targeting the ailment. After reading the book I've arbitrarily cut down on my tablet intake, and feel a whole lot better for it. However, I do not advise this course of action for everyone. A difficult read at times for a non-medical numpty like myself, necessitating some repeat reading of certain passages. The bar/pie charts would be easier to comprehend/absorb if in colour, as opposed to various shades of grey (pun intended). Overall I'm well-pleased with my purchase.

  • Read this book - it could just save your life.

Everyone should read this book. It will tell you all about the over-prescribing of medication by doctors and hospitals. Some people are on multiple pills and this could be shortening their life, or even lead to a premature death. GPs get paid by the government to prescribe medication at a 'preventive' measure, even if the patient does not really need it.

  • Enjoying life.

Essential reading for anyone in the second half of their life. We are all consuming too many pills and the doctors are guilty of dish out the same. We also need to eat less processed food.

  • Very informative

Good information for anyone taking pills for no good reason. Pity all doctors do not have a copy.
