Good quality modular build.
Illumination is done using a small incandescent bulb which is a future failure point. The switch module with bulb is removable and the contacts are self cleaning by their action. I removed the incandescent bulb and replaced it with a small blue LED and added a 1K subminiature series resistor to limit current. I have added a photo showing the rear of the switch assembly showing how one can convert it to LED illumination and compare the LED size with the original bulb. Addendum LED with just a resistor in series and nothing else will fail almost immediately (it did) due to back EMF from the bells solenoid an additional normally reverse biased snubber diode will have to be added in parallel with the LED and resistor to protect the LED. Ring a ding ding!
A great little 8v bell push. We recently replaced our doorbell and and had to alter the voltage of the transformer for it . Unfortunately the light on the old bell push then stopped working but this one works well and was quite easy to install where the old one had been.

Easy fit, looks good
Well made and easy to install. Just ensure you use a large enough Phillips screwdriver for terminal screws as they are tight from the factory and need something a little bigger than you might first think.

Excellent product
This is a well constructed illuminated doorbell push. This is by far better than another popular brand that uses small bulbs that blow after 24 hours. The illumination is warm white and is very effective. The light does not shine through the white body meaning that it provides a clear contrast between lit and unlit portions.
