Payment and Delivery
 
We try to make shopping on our site as easy as possible. Just browse our site and search by brand name or item type. When you find an item you like simply add to the basket and when you have finished shopping go to checkout.
 
We use paypal as our primary payment mode as we feel that this offers a safe and reliable way to purchase online with minimal risk to you the buyer. However if you do not have a paypal account we are happy to take cheques, postal orders and bank transfers by prior arrangement – just send us an email (info@kitwizard.com) and we will provide further details.
 
Postage costs will be displayed on the final checkout page. We do keep postage charges to a minimum and to this end we use a number of couriers especially for our larger and international parcels. The vast majority of our uk packages are sent via royal mail however. We aim to deliver within 3-5 days of receiving your order (within the uk). Occasionally however we may experience unexpected problems with stock availability, in these circumstances please allow up to 28 days for delivery – if this situation does arrive we will contact you within 5 days to inform you of the possible delay.
 
If you are ordering from overseas then we will dispatch within the same time frame however we are unable to guarantee delivery times. Please contact us to ask about delivery options – royal mail are commonly cheapest but can take considerably longer than other couriers. Overseas items sent by royal mail are not considered ‘lost’ until 25 days after the item has been dispatched (as per royal mail policy).

    Essential to maintain waterproofing on outdoor gear

    I have used this product for a number of years. Waterproof breathable garments lose their ability to shed water after a period of time and need cleaning and reproofing. Ordinary detergents are too harsh and will strip the water repellent properties from the garment. Tech Wash is a more gentle cleaner which also revitalises the water repellent properties of the fabric. However as it is a gentle detergent it does struggle to completely remove ground in dirt, so don't leave it too long before you wash! Particularly dirty areas should be treated with neat Tech Wash and a sponge or a soft nylon brush before washing. Relatively new garments or those recently waterproofed will have their water repellent properties renewed by Tech Wash alone. Use TxDirect to renew waterproofing on garments that ...

    change of instructions advised

    i first used wash and washin on our light weight blue water proof jackets .they energed covered in tiny white spots--it seemed the washin did not dissolve even in a second 60 degree wash . i then tried again with another pair of black jackets , but this time i pre dissolved the washin in a litre of hot water before adding to washing machine . again washed - in at 60 degrees ---much better !!!!! appears to have water proofed ok . the comng winter will tell.

    First Class Product

    Modern Waterproof jackets and clothing need to be washed correctly and retreated when the waterproofness starts to fail. This is easily done using either Nikwax Tech Wash or Nixwax TX Direct as appropriate. A great product which I thoroughly recommend.

    Easy to Use

    Simple and efficient way to reproof your clothing. I use it for my motorbike textile clothing and have had excellent results. Just make sure all traces of normal detergent are removed from the washing machine before using Nikwax. I find running a cycle with an empty machine is the easiest option

    The best all round waterproofer out there.

    This is great stuff for reproofing most waterproof clothing. I’ve used it on Gore Tex, Event, Paramor & everything in between with great results. If the item of clothing is very dirty wash it first as normal before using the Tech Wash as the Tech Wash won’t cope with heavily soiled kit. Great stuff, easy to use &, usually, a good price on Ebay. Highly recommended.
