    The early 1960's was an exciting period in the lasting progression of British bands making a worldwide impact on the music charts. Of those who were most popular on both sides of the Atlantic (the most famous being of course the Beatles and The Rolling Stones) another British band, The Hollies made their presence known with a distinctive musical style of tight harmonies, catchy melodies and good musicianship. Their creative songwriting team of Allan Clarke/Tony Hicks and Graham Nash was favorably comparable to any others of the day including Lennon & McCartney and Jagger & Richards.
