About this product

Product Information

FISHING'S STRANGEST DAYS is full of fascinating tales that may sound fishy and unbelievable but will have have you caught hook, line and sinker. FISHING'S StRANGESt DAYS gathers together choice stories and bizarre fishing tales from all over the world. Consider the Oxford scientist who in 1910 discovered the marvellous life-giving properties of brandy to fish who had otherwise gasped their last. Or how about the nine-year-old boy fishing for trout who caught a large mussel - containing no less than forty pearls - and managed to earn more in one day than his father, a farm worker, had earned in the last five years.

  • excellant read and good short stories.

Excellent value, well laid out and very good reading. Nice size for tucking away in a small bag to take anywhere for the odd relaxing moment. You can read one story or a couple at a time, put it down, then pick up weeks later and not have to go over again trying to remember the story.

  • very good book

very good book, would recommend to any fisherman, lots of interesting stories, kept my partner quiet for most of Christmas, he really enjoyed it along with my professional fisherman brother, he also found the stories interesting
