Memories of my mis-spent youth!
I was fortunate to see Buddy Holly and the Crickets live here in Nottingham on their only UK tour and as a teenager was in awe. A few years ago I visited the crash site where he lost his life and the Surf Ballroom in Iowa where he played his last concert. We will never know what amazing music he might have given us had he lived but it was a great idea to have Bobby Vee fronting the band and carrying on his legacy. This CD is a great tribute to Buddy and Bobby''s vocals are spot on. Highly recommended to all us old rockers and anyone who wants to understand the history of rock'n'roll.
