Uneven idling and some lag in revs returning to idle on my 02 E39 petrol 188k miles, remove the little pipe in the intake nearest the head and (after the motor is warm and running at at least 2k rpm) squirt in 1 second bursts, allowing revs to recover otherwise it will stall. There may well be a puff of white smoke as deposits are burnt-off, also excellent for intake manifolds etc. DO NOT expose delicate MAF sensors etc to it. It works.
