Good modification
The standard spring on a Africa twin is designed for the average rider. Reading up the figures look like 75kg. I'm 100 kg!. Luggage and a pillion can easily double this figure. Everyone turns the preload to maximum which does very little. The correct spring for your weight means that at minimum preload you can achieve the correct sag which transforms the bike in so many ways. For 100 kg you need a 105nm spring but ring k tech directly and they will tell you exactly what you need. Buy a pair of cheap spring compressors on eBay and you're good to go. Drop the swinging arm when you do it which allows a re grease of all pins and linkages. I have done this to various bikes over forty five years on bikes and it's one of the cheapest modifications you can do with the maximum returns.The standard spring on a Africa twin is designed for the average rider.
