About this product

Product Information

It doesn't seem real when the sirens go off and Sarah and the other children are sent home from school. But the nuclear attack is real enough, and it means that Sarah and her family have to stay cooped up inside for days on end. The world seems set to be choked by the grey dust that falls like snow from the sky, but Catherine, Sarah's younger sister, is determined to survive and build a new world from the ruins of the old.

  • Rollicking good read for both young and old 😁

This was a book I read in 3 days when I was 14 & loved. It's a fascinating insight into a nuclear war & it's aftermath from 3 different perspectives over a long period of time. It's also not dystopian, although it sometimes ventures perilously close. There is a running thread but it's not obvious until the end. A rollicking good read for both young & old.
