Fast delivery. Well packed. Well made. Works well when I worked out how to use it. Instructions were poor. I tried it out in a bucket of water. It hummed but would not pump. I was ready to return it, but consulted the web. It turns out that even with the float switch "on" the pump needs at least 14 cm depth of water in order to pump. It would need more if the base were extended (a feature not explained). . .

    Bilge/submersible pump

    Used to empty an old pond that I keep Ducks on. Then set it ona timer with a homemade filter made from an old wheelie bin to turn new water over couple times a day to prevent stagnation and smelling. Shift water well.. I brought it knowing it isn't designed for continuous use however the instruction don't really state any guidelines for ma time scales it should be run for in any one go. But work well. Hope it lasts. As u can see in pic i have one pipe in and two out 32mm. Realistically I need another out the flow is that good

    Submersible Pump

    Purchased this pump about a week ago and have now used it on 4 occassions to empty a large garden pond. It is quiet in operation, works really well with high discharge rate. The pump was delivered quickly and came with an instruction manual. This is the first pump that I have bought and was unsure how to operate it. The manual could give better instruction on how to use the float control level switch. When using to take the water to almost empty, the float needs to be located on the side rail. Easy when you figure it out, but not so easy at first.

    Great little pump

    Bought this pump following on from some of the reviews and I’m very impressed. I had to buy a 40mm diameter hose which fits snugly over the complete outlet gland and secured with a jubilee clip. Primed pump by tipping it 90 degrees in the water and couldn’t believe how much water it shifts. Emptied my 2400litre pool in just over 20 minutes. Considering the hose cost £5 more than the pump it is a cracking purchase. Very impressed with it.

    Cheap, but very effective

    To be honest, I wasn’t expecting too much from this product given the low price, but it has blown me away. The throughput is far higher than I expected and it isn’t fussy about the water being pumped as long as particulates are smaller than pea gravel and although not a fixed float switch, it work’s really well.

    Good Value submersible pump

    I've had two of these pumps, installed permanently in our underground water storage tank to pump water out for our garden. For the money it works surprisingly well, a good constant stream of water when we turn it on. After 2 years of use the pump stopped working but I consider 2 years good service for such a cheap pump so happily bought another one
