Jackie Chan Adventures DVD
This is a classic series which people who love Jackie Chan, Animation or Chinese Mythology can really get into. With 12 talismans being made from the Chinese Zodiac to become the quest archaeologist Jackie Chan to hunt its sure to be a thrill ride. With the introduction of his niece character in the series called Jade, it give a real contrast of characters with the reckless young one and the the martial art level headed adult. But it don't stop there with Uncle an old man with "One More Thing" to always say. The villain stereotypically portrayed as a British Man with blond hair and croons make it even more realistic to an enemy Jackie would fight in real life. But the animation stylings within this cartoon are so original it makes actions scenes come to life. Originally shown in the UK on ... Spaced over two disks in 4.3 Format (Square screen to you and me) this is Jackie Chan Adventures at it's greatest, and in this reviewers opinion I wish they released the other seasons and not just this gem alone. Most cartoons do not have a story arc, so it's fine to watch them in any order. Jackie Chan Adventures are fine to watch like this, but they make more sense when viewed in the correct order. That's why the DVD is worth getting - it keeps my children entertained for extended periods of time. The story? Well, Jackie is sent around the world to collect talismans, which represent the signs of the Chinese Year. They need to be kept out of the claws of a terrible demon, who wishes to rule the world. Jackie is helped and hindered by his young niece Jade - my daughters adore her, and the exciting kung fu scenes. Worth getting for a long and rainy Bank Holiday. we were so pleased 2 buy this entire season 1 of jackie chan. we both enjoyed it and we both love the amination jackie chan. well recommended.
