About this product

Product Information

About the Technical Reviewer ? Rob Drimmie is a software developer with a bias toward web-based applications. The best things about him are his wife and children. He likes pho and hamburgers but has never eaten both at the same sitting. xiv ? INTRODUCTION Acknowledgments First of all, I would like to thank my beloved fianc e, Petronella Frisk, for putting up with me spending evenings and weekends writing this book. Thank you for your patience and support I couldn't have done it without you Many thanks to Tom Skinner for helping me with the initial reviews of the chapters and with testing the examples. Your help has been immensly valuable to me. If not for you, the book would have been a lot poorer. I would also like to thank you for your words of encouragement at the times when I needed it the most. Also thanks to Charlie Irish, who helped proofread Chapter 5, before I used it as a beta chapter. My former college Chris Jangel v has been a source of inspiration over the years. I probably owe it to him that I entered into the world of web standards, usability, and blogging in the first place. Thank you, Chris, for always having new ideas and being encouraging.

Reviews
From the reviews of the second edition: "The author begins with a brief history of the Google Maps API ... . this practice quite helpful as I didn't have to flip back and forth as I have in other technical books to figure out the totality of what was going on. ... All in all, I'd highly recommend Beginning Google Maps API 3 to those looking to develop Google Maps applications with the new API. It's clearly written with lots of examples and pictures of exactly what the code's output looks like." (North Carolina Digital Collections Collaboratory, September, 2010)

Excellent seller. Package was delayed ( by bad weather) and then misplaced at PO( placed in wrong box #) but I contacted the seller and they responded quickly and I got my item today. This seller went the extra mile and I would highly recommend them and will shop here again. I also want to say the price for this complete hard to find item was way below most of the other listings. Condition was good as stated, and although I've only watched the first disc it's quality is good. Thank you!!

Purchasing form this company can at times be frustrating due to items never arriving, very low shipping time and the inability to track the items. But I gave them another chance and purchased many maps and books over the past few months and have received all of them. Last year, it was hit and miss. All items were in the condition as described. Packaging is minimal. The only downside is extremely slow shipping. I rate them a C+. Nothing to gloat about but eventually you will get what you wanted.
