    "The Counterfeiters" - Phil's review.

    I'd heard of the story behind the film for years: I think that the makers of "The Counterfeiters" got the tone just right and used WW2 as a backdrop to a very human story. Initially, the viewer has little sympathy with the central character, but all of this is swapped around once he's co-opted by the Nazi state - same person, same profession, different circumstances.

    "The Counterfeiters" DVD: Simply Excellent!

    Why this film was excellent: I have been into historical and more factual films for a considerable time now. This film has to be among the best i've seen. The film itself is based on the horrific true events of the second world war. The film focusses on the ill treatment of the Jews throughout the holocaust. I have been fascinated by this story for some time and when I found out that there was a film to document such a story, i just had to buy it! If you are into historical films and love the second world war then this film is for you. Truly great! A must watch film with a remarkable story. I strongly recommend that you watch this film!

    A great Flick

    I bought it after seeing it win at the Oscars. This was a great film and very well made. The actors were all very convincing in their roles. We must always remember this terrible thing that happened in the world. This is up their with the Pianist in 2nd World War movies.
