It works
I bought this originally 16 years ago to rid myself of baby weight and did it once a year after that for some time until I lent it out. I wanted to buy it again because even though it’s easy to remember what not to eat I’d forgotten all of the alternatives you’re supposed to eat for the right nutrients. Despite it being really dated in style the encouraging thing is that there are 3 women doing honest video diaries about how they’re feeling which is very helpful. Once you are past the first week the rest is easy. There are no complicated recipes and you will start to drop weight and feel better after 14 days. Unlike a normal diet you won’t feel hungry and you won’t put on more weight when you finish the 28 days because you’ve essentially spent a month cramming in nutrients and you just ... The basics are that it’s meat, fish and dairy free, no sugar, wheat, caffeine, alcohol or synthetic sweeteners which sounds brutal but you can still have honey, st dalfour jam and molasses and fruit, oat cakes ryvita, wholenut natural peanut butter (cheap from Aldi) hummus, rice cakes and all the fruits and vegetables you want including sauces you can make with tinned tomatoes. There are supplements they recommend too but they are not essential. It’s not expensive if you pick up things like porridge oats, a big bag of raisins or apricots and you can be as basic as you want with veggies and mixed herbs. The only thing I never got on with was the brown rice so I just ate small portions of white. It’s only four weeks of your life so just do it because you’ll feel fantastic and fit into those jeans again! Carol Voderman has been continuing to follow this once every 6 months -year and she never put the weight back on and 16 years later she’s still looking great. I can’t recommend this enough. There’s an accompanying recipe book if you can find it but to be honest I never used it a lot. Its the perfect way to rid yourself of sugar and bread cravings quickly and you won’t regret it!

I bought this DVD because I wanted to start eating healthier. What I liked about this DVD was the video diaries, this did show how the women were finding this detox, however I would have liked to see the full diary. I am sure there were things they said that was edited out and this I feel would have been important for anyone doing this detox. I actually tried to do this myself, based on this DVD. I found I had headaches for the first 3 days which was too much to bear, I had colds which I don't usually suffer from and extreme tiredness. I also found from the DVD's suggested eating plan was very dull and bland. I also bought the book that goes with this DVD in the hope that the recipes in there would perk the food up but I was very disappointed. Overall I found this DVD useful for basic ... I bought this DVD because I wanted to start eating healthier. Life style change
Thsi diet is incredibly strict but the DVD case studies give some inspiration and having done the diet before sticking to it about 80% of the time made me feel just wonderful. Wasn't interested in losing weight I just wanted to feel healthier. This is a lifestyle choice rather than a diet.
