A female musician who strums guitar like she sings - with gusto
An arrangement of moods this verges on the serene to the obscene (but in a good way)! Martha's vocals oscillate and captivate with musical 'meows'. Purrfect.

GLORIOUS - This is such a wonderful album - Maybe it helps having such famous family - Martha can call on some fantastic musicians to take her songs to all the right places - and the songs themselves are good enough to make it a joy from beginning to end. This album is a work of art - it will be difficult for her to match this one. I guess she's waited a while to record these songs - it's hard to really consider the album as a debut as she has so much experience in recording studios with her brother and family - If you only ever buy one Wainwright album in your life - THIS IS THE ONE - followed by Rufus's first two! - Love you Martha - look after the voice.GLORIOUS - This is such a wonderful album - Maybe it helps having such famous family - Martha can call on some fantastic musicians to take her songs to all the right places - and the songs themselves are good enough to make it a joy from beginning to end. Another Classic from the Wainwright/McGarrigle family!
Brilliant songs, wonderful voice, every Rufus/Kate & Anna fan must have this in their collection. I decided to buy it what with being a Rufus/McGarrigle fan, I knew she had a lovely voice but this blew me away. Fabulous!
