Utterly Abysmal
Received this today. A few pressed particle-board pieces, dowels and 6 screws. How can they justify the price of £41? Went together easily - but not secure. The design is too flimsy and the materials poor. I bought this for an elderly cat so that he could access the sofa. Not too heavy? My wife moved the stairs sideways a couple of times - to line them up - and they actually fell apart. The 6 screws (that fit snugly into metal receivers pre-pushed into the particle board) had fallen out! Utterly useless. I don't have the time to repackage this junk. So I set to with wood glue, nails, clamps and blocks of real wood to brace the interior corners. DON'T WASTE your money. Don't RISK an animal being injured. Received this today. The steps are made of poor quality wood, ours had a couple of splits in the wood where internal runners had been hammered in. Also, when you put the unit together its not very sturdy either, there is 'give' in the structure and so it sways a bit. Our little hound was unimpressed n wouldnt use, so we have had to make adjustments to fix these 2 issues. Not worth the money in our opinion, worth £15-20 maybe, certainly not £43!
