    Emotional and informative, a great story of one animal’s part in a family’s history.

    Wonderful interpretation of the story. I have also seen the stage show with puppetry, which offers the same storyline with a totally but equally emotional approach. The film really reflects the tragedy of war and its consequences on all sides and its effects on individuals and animals involved in WW1.

    I was tell my grandson what anmails help in the war, and he asked if there was any films which he could watch, so I ordered the war horse and he loves it. Every child should watch it as it was not just people who lost there life's it was anmails to.

    This is a powerful film regards the First World War- Oddly Enough I expected more...maybe as the Theatre Stage Productions had friends saying it was really powerful. But it was a very moving Film-- Shattering as to what Animals...horses.. and Humans had to suffer
