      Very versatile

First the bad. They're expensive! They're also very difficult to size to you fingers. Unlike most plastic finger picks, which will soften very quickly in less than boiling water to enable forming to your finger size. These required a fairly lengthy boil with wedges inserted to open the pick. Yes,l purchased the largest size. They were very tight on my large fingers. Now the good. To me, they work like a long finger nail. I can feel the string with my finger tip and still get a nice sharp, clear note. I wear these reversed from a regular metal or plastic finger pick. Like for claw hammer banjo, which these would work well for also.

    • Great replacement for nails.

I had to use one on my middle finger because my nail broke. It sounded the same as my actual nails on the other fingers, so the sounds from all fingers blended well. I bought large so I could resize and bend to fit as needed. All I had to do was cut some pieces off and carefully heat to reshape and make smaller. I only heated them just enough so I wouldn't melt them or cause noxious fumes. The downside to getting a larger pair is it moves up a bit. However, I can still make them work with a tiny bit of tweaking. Now I know I can buy a smaller size in the future that will be more snug.

    • The best

By far the must stable fingertip picks, though I did use a hair dryer to customize the fit. If a nail breaks, these will get you through the night, even playing flamenco, which requires sweeping in both directions.

    • Good picks for clawhammer banjo

I’ve tried a lot of other picks when I’ve lost my fingernail, but these are the best. I’ve got medium sized hands but large size fits me best.

    • Be careful of the sizing!

I ordered one set of three in medium based on ring size, but they are completely too small! I tried to shape them with the hot water soak and shaping them, and setting the shape/size change by cold water. The result was hairline cracks on the picks. I ordered this pair in large and for my finger size these are still tight, but usable. I think size, in different areas of the country are relevant, and here in Kansas what they feel is large is about medium. Still a good sounding and well designed finger-pick. I will throw the other 3-set away, although that is a costly mistake on my part, but they are useless to me. If you buy, and I say you should try them out, be careful for they run smaller than the size I feel.
