Science fiction thriller in which a scientist battles to convince the authorities of an imminent alien attack. Zane Zaminski is a radio astronomer who believes he has heard an extra-terrestrial signal, but whose discovery is deemed worthless by his boss. Then his research division is closed down due to government cutbacks and he is given the sack. Undeterred, Zane establishes a makeshift radio telescope within his own home and joins forces with fellow scientist Ilana Green ( Lindsay Crouse ) to find out more about this alien life-force which, it seems, has its own plans for Planet Earth...
