Delivered speedily at a competitive price from this seller, Firemiser does what it says on the tin - it slows the rate of burn (and hence both fuel consumption and heat output) and produces fine ash, and in that sense met my expectations. It is an expensive piece of wire wool though, is quite messy to use (ash doesn't fall through) and hasn't lasted anything like the promised 500 hours. Hence I'm still looking for and alternative baffle to reduce air flow in my stove.

    Works well, but doesn’t last forever.

    Works well at keeping smaller fragments of wood in the embers for a complete burn. Ash tray certainly contains less waste after a typical fire. 👍🏼 Not sure how that translates into an overall saving tho, as the mat costs £20 for about 50 hours service life. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    I HAVE USED THIS ITEM IN MY WOOD BURNER FOR 5 DAY'S NOW WITH NO NOTABLE DIFFERENCE. THE FLAME APPEARANCE, BURN RATE AND HEAT OUTPUT IS NO DIFFERENT. I USE WELL SEASONED LOG'S.

    Great buy

    I am really impressed with the firemizer and I have used mine for nearly two weeks.I found the fire last a lot longer and burns a lot brighter.Its so easy to clean my log burner I just take the firemizer out and shake it in my bin it's so quick and easy.I am so pleased with this product and very happy I found out about it great great buy.

    Firemizer mat

    I must admit that I thought I would give this a try but wasn’t expecting the results to be so good. The logs definitely burn better with the mat in place and the difference in the ash pan after a fire is amazing . I have less ash after three fires than I did after one fire without the mat proving that the burn is far more effective with the mat in place as more log has been burnt at a higher temperature . So good I have already purchased more mats to give to family and have available after the 500 hours this one will last

    Seems to work as described. Very happy.

    Reduces ash - there's hardly any in the ash pan. Previously I had to empty it every 3 days. I reckon I will need to empty it every fortnight now. The fire seems to burn better, it's certainly easier to light. Probably saves on wood though I have no real way to judge this. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts. Provided I get a couple of months from it I'll be happy.
