Underrated, yet lacking 'centre'.
Ridley Scott's latest drama in the realm of the medieval is certainly worth a watch. The sword fights alone tell you just how fantastical the current spate of heroine obsessed warrior fantasies actually are - just a few blows of these weapons would knock most men down! The performances are just as solid, making the movie a good addition to Scott's work, yet I felt that it still lacked something, probably because of the manner the key story is told from various perspectives, so it becomes a little puzzling to navigate in a few scenes and therefore left somewhat untroubled as it reached its conclusion.
