This is one for the serious enthusiast. Not for children-really. Fitted with two DCC DECODERS from Factory. Perfectly speed matched front and rear engines. This 6 car set is literally FIRST CLASS in every detail with directional head and tail lamps. Cab lights and carriage ceiling lights. As well as switchable table lamps at every window. SHAME BACHMANN DOUBLED THE PRICE OF THE LATEST EDITION AND TOOK AWAY THE DECODERS. I wonder why there are still loads of them for sale in every railway retailer. ?????? The ultimate model railway train!
This is streets ahead of the 1960s Triang Hornby Blue Pullman set, and is quite simply the best model railway locomotive/coach set I have ever used (ok then, played with). The coach couplings are large, easier and less fiddly than the Bachmann 411 southern suburban coaches to couple up. It comes with TWO motors, one in each end, plus two decoders and independent table /coach lights. The driving cars are heavy and really well detailed. Running is smooth and a delight to operate - the original real-life trains ran a bit rough, but these models run superbly: this is the pride of my layout! Yes this set is expensive, but its two DCC locomotives (say £100 each) and four lit coaches (say £30 each), so when you look at it like that its good value.
