Although the film was made in the 1980’s it has stood the test of time and is very enjoyable with Diane Keaton outstanding in the starring role.

Story which outlines the value of things money cant buy
I have always liked this film since I saw it back in about 1989 or 1990? It is a tragic situation with the little baby girl losing her parents and needing to be brought up by a distant relative but out of this tragedy but something good comes out of it in that taking on this child is really the making of the relative, who prior to this, only really lives for business and nothing else! There is a fascinating twist in that she finds a flair for something which actually turns into a successful home business and finds herself and true love in the making. In some ways I can see a parallel with Whoopi Goldberg - Carina Carina in that people find themselves and true love in the midst of tragedy. I am basically just looking around for the last few films to make up my VHS/DVD library and ... I have always liked this film since I saw it back in about 1989 or 1990? This is the story of a dynamic workaholic woman zooming up the corporate ladder who tries, and initially fails, to combine career and motherhood. After leaving her "corner office" behind and moving to a small town in Vermont, she and her impossible cute baby daughter have a few hilarious problems settling in, but they soon become part of the community....and mom finds that big bucks can still be made with a toddler in tow! If you listen carefully, this is a very funny film! I've watched it several times and keep hearing more witty remarks, mostly from superb comedy actress,Diane Keaton. Of course, a few things don't ring true....especially how little Elizabeth manages to stay exactly the same age through the entire story! My Favourite Movie Ever!
Absolutely LOVE this movie... I can watch it time and time again and never get bored with it... Very sweet and engaging... Love Diane Keaton as she transforms from a high powered career woman into a soft and sweet country girl... Beautiful Scenery and some funny moments... Love it!
