    Shipped quickly and all but the ChromaCast string dampener is a piece of garbage. It had glue all over the top piece of metal and worst of all it doesn't fit on any guitar I tried it on - Ibanez, ESP, or Schecter. Measure the space between the strings behind the nut and the body of your guitar - if you have greater than 1/4" space it will fit.

    Good?

    The only dampener that will install easier than this is a hair tie. The Chromacast string dampener installs with two tension screws and the swing arm has multiple adjustment points for the dampener pad. You can also flip it up quickly when you're finished using it. I can also leave it installed on my guitar when I put it away in the case, too. Overall, did this solve major problems; no, but it did help me avoid using a hair tie which are difficult to slide over Floyd Rose nuts when you're done tapping. Not a must-buy, but a good buy. It's a solid addition to any shred players arsenal. Jaime

    Great 6 String Guitar Mute

    Finally somebody got this thing right. This is as close to the George Van Epps string mute as we will get without having to pay $200-$300 for a custom build. Metal construction with several precise adjustments. Don't let the $20 price tag make you think it is "cheap"...it isn't by a long shot. And to think the elastic "Fretwraps" is only $5 less-this is a no-brainer. The Michael Batio "Chromcast" is now my mute of choice. Killer product.

    GREAT! It dampens strings when called upon & flips back when you want open string playing. After a few minor mods. I got it to work properly. (must tighten the base screws occationally, this is normal after some hefty playing from time to time). I highly recommend MAB's dampener!
